A factory reset removes all settings and returns the device to the same state as when it was shipped from the factory. It will delete data stored inside the ring. It keeps the latest firmware.
To perform a Factory reset:
- Connect your ring to your app
- Go into "My ring" on the top right
- Make sure the Ring is not on the charger
- Press the "Factory reset" button at the bottom of the page
- The ring will disconnect from the app. The Bluetooth information is deleted from the ring.
- You must set up the ring once again, as it was new, by clicking on "Manage my devices" > "Set up new ring". Make sure to place your ring on the Charger to wake it up.
**A reboot **is usually conducted in an attempt to fix a malfunctioning feature or Bluetooth connection. It will NOT remove the data stored inside the ring.
To perform a Reboot:
- Connect your ring to your app
- Go into "My ring" on the top right
- Make sure the Ring is not on the charger
- Press the "Reboot" button on the bottom of the page
- The ring will disconnect from the app and reconnect a few seconds after.
- Nothing else has to be done
