If you notice that your ring has stopped recording data or the battery seems to drop suddenly to around 30%, here are the possible explanations:

1. Battery Below 5%

When your ring reaches ~5% battery, it will automatically stop recording data. This is a power-saving safety feature designed to prevent the device from shutting down abruptly.

2. Battery at 0%

If your ring has completely discharged (0% battery), you will need to reconnect your ring to the Circular app after charging it.

⚠️ If you skip this step, your ring will not resume recording data for future use.

3. Power-Saving Mode Around 30%

In some cases, when the battery level drops to around 30%, your ring may enter a low-power mode to conserve energy. This can temporarily limit data acquisition until it is charged again.

✅ Tip: To ensure continuous data tracking, we recommend recharging your ring regularly and keeping the battery above 30%.

My Ring No Longer Records Heart Rate or Occasionally

If your Circular Ring now shows no data—or only picks up one heart rate reading from time to time—this may indicate that your PPG sensor needs recalibration.

🔹 Why does this happen

Over time, environmental factors or small variations in how the ring sits on your finger can affect how the PPG (photoplethysmography) sensor detects if you're wearing the ring or not.

🔧 What to do: Run a Self-Diagnostic

You can quickly recalibrate your PPG sensor by performing a Self Diagnostic from the Circular app.

To do this:

Open the Circular app.
Go to Settings → Under **"Support" **Category.
Select Self Diagnostic.
Follow the on-screen steps carefully to complete the test (you'll need a flat white paper).

Once the process is done, wear your ring normally and allow it to collect new data for the next few hours.
