If the Circular app shows an error code during the sync process, it tells you where the problem comes from.
Find your code below and follow the steps.
| Code | What it means | Where the problem is |
|---|---|---|
| ES02 | The app cannot reach the internet | Your phone or network |
| ES03 | The Circular server is not responding | Our servers |
| ES04 | The app cannot communicate with your ring | Bluetooth link between phone and ring |
ES02: No internet connection
Your phone could not reach the Circular servers. Your ring and your data are fine.
- Check that your phone is online: open any website in your browser.
- Turn off your VPN if you use one, then retry. Some VPNs block the app's connection.
- On a corporate, school or hotel Wi-Fi? These networks often block websites that are not on their approved list. Switch to mobile data and retry.
- Turn Airplane mode on and off, then reopen the app.
ES03: Server problem
The Circular server is not responding. The problem is on our side, so there is nothing to fix on your phone or ring.
- Check our status page: https://circularring.statuspage.io/
- If an incident is listed, wait until it is fixed, then sync again. Your ring keeps recording data in the meantime and will sync once the service is back.
- If the status page shows no incident and ES03 lasts for more than 24 hours, contact us at https://www.circular.xyz/contact-us
ES04: Connection problem with the ring
The app could not communicate with your ring over Bluetooth.
- Make sure Bluetooth is on and the app has Bluetooth permission (on Android, also Location / Nearby devices).
- Close the app completely and reopen it.
- If it still fails, unpair and re-pair the ring:
- Remove the ring in the Circular app
- In your phone's Bluetooth settings, forget the Circular device if it is listed.
- Restart your phone, open the app and pair the ring again.
