Almost everything in the Circular app is free, with no subscription. A small part of some features is partly free and partly paid.
Here is how to tell them apart.
π Free vs Freemium
| Category | What it means | Which features |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Included with your ring. No payment, no subscription, ever. | Wake Up, Sleep Analysis, Energy Analysis, Stress levels, Guided Breathing, Live measurement, Medication reminder, Vital alerts, Spor sessios, Advanced analytics, Coherence, Heart Rhythm, Women's health, Kira |
| Freemium | The essential part is free for everyone. Going deeper is premium. | Blood Pressure, Glucose Estimate |
β What is free?
Your ring measures over 140 biomarkers, and the large majority of what the app does with them costs nothing. That includes:
- Sleep tracking, sleep stages, sleep score and your ideal sleep schedule
- Activity, steps, workouts, calories and VO2max
- Recovery, stress, energy, wellness and immunity scores
- Heart rate, resting heart rate, HRV, SpO2, respiratory rate and skin temperature
- ECG recordings and PDF export of an ECG trace
- Women's health and cycle tracking
- Smart Alarm, heart rate and SpO2 alerts, medication reminders and Coherence sessions
- Kira, your AI assistant, and the insights she gives you
None of this requires a subscription.
π©Ί What is freemium
Blood Pressure & Glucose estimates are the features that are split.
Free for everyone
- Unlimited measurements
- Daily view with your average and the full list of the day's sessions
- A running count of how your past results fall across the trend
- A health tip on each result
Premium
- Advanced insights on your readings
- Long-term trends, including time in target range
- PDF export of your history to share with your doctor.
π³ Two ways to unlock the premium part of a feature
You can pay with either, and both give you exactly the same access.
1. Circular Coins Coins are the app's own currency, earned through your use of Circular. Spending coins unlocks a premium feature just like paying by card does, at no monetary cost to you.
2. Bank card Pay by card in the app, in your local currency.
There is no difference in what you get. Coins simply let you unlock premium features by using your ring rather than by paying.
ποΈ Two things you can subscribe to
A single feature. Unlock just the one you want, for example the advanced part of Blood Pressure, and leave everything else as it is.
Circular+ status. One subscription that unlocks every premium feature at once, including any new ones added later. This is the better value if you want more than one.
Both are subscriptions, so access continues for as long as the subscription is active and stops when it ends. Your data is never deleted when a subscription ends. You keep everything you recorded, and the free parts of every feature keep working exactly as before.
𧩠Installing and removing features
The Circular app works like a marketplace. You choose which features to install, and you can remove any of them at any time to keep your app focused on what you actually use.
β FAQ
Do I need a subscription to use my Circular Ring? No. The ring and the large majority of the app work with no subscription at all.
Is Blood Pressure and Glucose free or paid? Both. Measuring and seeing your score is free and unlimited. Advanced insights, long-term trends and PDF export are premium.
Is there a difference between unlocking with coins and paying by card? No. Both give the same access to the same feature.
What happens to my data if I stop paying? Nothing is lost. Your history stays in the app, and the free features carry on as normal. You lose access to the premium parts only.
Will more features become premium later? The free features listed above stay free. If a new premium feature is added, Circular+ status includes it.
Where can I see what I am paying for? In the app, under your account.
